ITV comms chief leaves for Aegis

ITV’s communications director Louise Evans is to leave the broadcaster to join marketing services group Aegis.

Evans, who has been at ITV for nearly three years, will take the new role of director of communications and marketing at Aegis Group.

While at ITV, Evans has overseen all corporate communications related to regulatory and legal affairs and commercial and digital strategy. ITV is not expected to replace her directly but will instead reallocate her responsibilities among the corporate affairs team.

ITV chief executive, Adam Crozier, recently gave evidence at a House of Lords select committee hearing on airtime sales practices and the Contract Rights Renewal regulations that ITV wants removed.

At Aegis, Evans will take responsibility for global communications and for marketing the group’s “power brands”: media agencies Carat and Vizeum, research arm Synovate, digital network glue-Isobar and search engine specialist i-prospect.

She is a former director of communications for ITN and for WH Smith.
