Terry Corby, currently Accenture’s director of marketing and communications in the UK and Ireland, is to take up the newly created chief marketing and communications officer role in January.

He will be responsible for developing an integrated approach to marketing and strategy across KPMG’s 16 European operating firms, also known as “limited liability partnerships” (ELLP).

Jeremy Anderson, ELLP head of markets, says Corby will help raise awareness “of KPMG’s brand, insights and capability” in line with its “strong growth ambitions”.

KPMG is the latest of the “big four” professional services networks to boost marketing.

Ernst & Young recently appointed The Assembly to develop a new brand proposition, while PwC rebranded from PricewaterhouseCoopers in September.
