Nikon to renew Hollyoaks sponsorship

Camera manufacturer Nikon will renew its sponsorship of Channel 4 teen drama Hollyoaks following the success of last year’s campaign.

The one-year sponsorship of the programme recommences 1 January and will promote Nikon’s Coolpix camera range, which it said gained “a significant rise in market share” after last year’s campaign.

The sponsorship will feature on the weekday programmes on Channel 4 and E4 as well as the weekly Saturday omnibus on E4.

The campaign will continue the “I am Nikon” messaging and will feature a series of “playful and amusing” idents, replacing the word “Nikon” with “party animal” and “Hollyoaks”.

High street mobile retailer Phones4u sponsored the programme for the three months after the Nikon deal came to a close in October this year.
