ITV appoints new communications chief

ITV has appointed Mary Fagan to the newly-created communications and corporate affairs director role.

Former Royal Mail communications director Fagan will be responsible for ITV’s corporate communications, programme publicity teams and its public affairs operation.

Fagan, who starts her new role on January 24, will report to ITV chief executive and former Royal Mail boss Adam Crozier. She will also join the management board.

Fagan will take on some of the responsibilities handled by ITV’s former group director of communications Ruth Settle, who will leave the company after eight years.

Last week it was announced ITV was restructuring its commercial and online divisions in an effort to become more “client obsessed” and as part of its strategy to develop premium content and deliver it across multiple platforms.
