Jean-Philippe Randisi has been appointed to the new role of executive vice president and director of consumer products and is responsible for extending the reach of ITV-owned programmes.
Randisi is charged with increasing the value of the business’ existing intellectual property portfolio, which includes programmes such as Coronation Street, Dancing on Ice and This Morning, and future content made by ITV Studios.
Randisi will report to ITV Studios’ managing director of global entertainment Maria Kyriacou.
ITV Studios is the production arm of ITV, but also creates content for a wide range of third party broadcasters. Its Global Entertainment division is responsible for TV distribution, home entertainment programme production, publishing, merchandising and licensing.
Kyriacou says: “We are committed to becoming an organisation with the capability to reap maximum value from its existing and future intellectual property; both in the UK and internationally.”
Randisi will head a new consumer products team that will leverage ITV Studios’ intellectual property portfolio across DVD, licensed products, publishing and other off-air activity.
Randisi was formerly senior vice president and international managing director at Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, a division of MTV Networks International. He led key Viacom properties including South Park, SpongeBob Square Pants and Dora the Explorer.
