M&S poaches head of Tesco.com

Marks & Spencer has appointed former Tesco.com CEO Laura Wade-Gery to head up its multi channel operations.

Marks and Spencer

Wade-Gery leaves Tesco just a month after becoming commercial director of its clothing, electronics and merchandise business.

She moved from CEO of its online business as part of a reshuffle of Tesco’s management boad ahead of Richard Brasher taking over as UK CEO in March.

As executive director of multi-channel e-commerce at M&S Wade-Gery will be responsible for growing the high-street retailer’s multi-channel operations.

Marc Bolland, M&S chief executive says: “Her appointment is in line with the plans we announced last November to grow our multi-channel e-commerce business both in the UK and internationally.”

It is not known when she will step down from Tesco or join M&S.
