The mobile phone manufacturer is a “TOP” sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games and is set to be one of the partners for the Olympic Torch Relay that preceeds the event.

Samsung is currently on the hunt for a corporate marketing director to leverage the sponsorship of the Games and to help drive sales across its range of products.

The company is set to release the Galaxy S2, the thinnest smartphone on the market, in the UK in the coming weeks.

Samsung’s new corporate marketing director will also play a key role in digital marketing campaigns, particularly on Facebook, Twitter and blogs.

The role is believed to be a new position at the company.

Separately, Samsung Mobile is also searching for a UK and Ireland marketing director after Batyr Bulat left the company, having been in the role for just three months.
