Did you ever do that science experiment where you power a lightbulb using a lemon?

Well someone at Tropicana France obviously did because its latest trick to promote its “natural energy” brand positioning used 2,500 oranges to power an electric billboard.

This video shows the science behind it, accompanied by some nice plinky plonky 50s style music by Nervous Norvus.

When it had finished powering the neon ad sign with all the juice, the oranges were then composted.
