Female brewers launch women friendly beer

Seven prominent female brewers have pooled their expertise to launch a beer aimed at female drinkers.

Venus Jade beer was developed by a group of female brewers that have got together under the name Project Venus. Sara Barton from Brewster’s Brewery set the group up.

Future brews are planned using the breweries of those involved throughout the year.

Brewers have identified female beer drinkers as a potential growth area in a declining sector. Molson Coors is currently developing a range of drinks for women.
