Born This Way, Lady Gaga’s second album, will be streamed by Metro in its entirety from 18 May. It will be the only place UK residents can listen to the album before its official release on 23 May.
Metro is readying an awareness campaign in print, online and on social media.
The campaign will include an advertising wrap on the print edition of the Metro and a countdown clock on the website.
Separately, Metro is also due to publish its first “pocket size” edition of the paper on Friday 13 May, in partnership with Red Bull.
The print edition will serve as a guide to summer events, including festivals, club nights and sports.
