Brands Clinique, Bobbi Brown and Estée Lauder will showcase products in how-to videos with top make-up artists styling catwalk and celebrity looks. Users will be able to click to buy the products.

Each brand will take over the Marie Claire beauty channel for a month. Bobbi Brown will be first, followed by

Clinique in July and Estée Lauder in August.

The Marie Claire Beauty Genius iPhone app is a paid-for app, costing £1.19 from iTunes, and is updated on monthly.

It was extended to iPad earlier this year as part of plans to accelerate digital development.
The Marie Claire site generated 17m page impressions and claimed 1.1m unique users last October, according to Omniture.
