Sony is unveiling a viral version of its iconic “Balls” campaign to raise awareness of it filming the Wimbledon Finals in 3D; a first in the 125 years of the tournament.

The campaign, created by Crayon, sees a return of the Sony ’Balls’ advert, with a twist. The agency has produced a viral film with thousands of tennis balls bouncing through the streets of suburban Wimbledon.

The film drives customers to a website to take part in a game to win one of five pairs of tickets to the 2011 Ladies Singles final on Saturday 2nd July 2011.

The activity starts with the film and launch of the game today (June 15). Sony will be supporting this with a national press campaign, announcements on Facebook, Sony Centre activity, eDM to Sony’s customer database and field marketing with 10,000 bounc3d.com branded tennis balls being handed out in London.
