Ford appoints managing director for Britain
Ford’s British division has appointed its former marketing director, Mark Ovenden, as its new managing director.
He replaces Nigel Sharp, who is retiring after 39 years with the company.
Ovenden is currently managing director and president of Ford Russia, the company’s fastest growing market.
Roelant de Waard, vice president of marketing, sales and service at Ford of Europe, says: “[Mark] has presided over a period of rapid business growth and most recently has been heavily involved in the establishment of the new joint venture with Sollers, a key part of our European growth strategy.”
Ovenden has held a number of European global marketing and sales roles at Ford, including director of marketing at Ford of Britain and Ford of Europe brand manager.
