The new show forms part of Sony Computer Entertainment UK’s “Access to PlayStation” community strategy, that aims to report on all of the company’s events and other industry shows.

The show, which will feature news, previews and interviews around the latest PlayStation 3 games and Blu-ray films, will be free to download for UK PlayStation network account holders to watch on their consoles.

Future has closed its PlayStation Network digital interactive magazine FirstPlay to make way for the new video show.

Alan Duncan, Sony Computer Entertainment’s UK marketing director, says: “This is a great content initiative which forms a key part of SCEUK’s strategy to reward and engage with our consumers in a more meaningful way.”

Future currently publishes the Official PlayStation Magazine and has partnered with Sony Computer Entertainment since 1995.

The Sony PlayStation Network is now back online after a serious of hacker attacks that led to millions of customers details being compromised and a global outage of the network.

Sony offered a “welcome back” package to users, to entice them to return to the network, which included free games and services. Sony says the package increased the number of home console owners with PlayStation 3s to 44% in June, up from 40% in March, the month before the Network was compromised.
