It is hoped the logo – designed to be used in marketing campaigns, on labels and on websites – will help shoppers identify goods of British origin.

The campaign to encourage use of the marque is being led by British kitchen manufacturer Stoves. Activity was developed by the company’s PR agency Umpf.

Creation of the marque follows research that 67% want a seal of approval that products were made here. It also showed that almost half of British shoppers did not know which brands could claim they were made in Britain.

The campaign is backed by several MPs. Companies such as Cains Beer, Imperial Bathrooms and ScreenTek have agreed to use of the logo.
