Npower restructure means marketer Kevin Peake is out

Npower has restructured its operations into three new divisions, resulting in the departure of the energy provider’s marketing director Kevin Peake.

The company has been split into three market segment teams: domestic markets, SME markets and industrial and commercial markets.

Giuseppe Di Vita, managing director for customer markets, says the decision for the restructure was taken following the success of its “award winning” industrial and commercial markets team, which was an example of a division with a single point of accountability for a specific market segment.

Di Vita says: “As a consequence of the new structure Kevin and I have discussed what the organisational changes mean for him personally. We both agree the best course of action is for Kevin to evaluate alternatives.”

Peake will support the company with the transition to the new structure. It is has not yet been confirmed whether the marketing director role will also be disposed of, or whether there will be separate category marketing heads for the three separate divisions.

Peake joined Npower in 2000 from Comet and has overseen major sponsorship deals, including the company’s partnership with the Football League.
