The tea brand, which has previously featured Stephen Fry in its advertising, will introduce the tagline “Twinings gets you back to you”.

It is expected to feature across the brand’s advertising and marketing communications and could appear on a range of Twinings branded merchandise such as teapots, tea caddies and heat insulated travel cups. AMV.BBDO is the brand’s agency of record.

On its website Twinings states that its teas “help you get back to normal” and offers a different blend for a number of different situations. The brand has previously based its advertising messaging around the idea that it offers a blend for every mood and emotion.

The brand has previously used the strapline: Discover the Art of Tea.

Twinings has recently backtracked on its decisions to change its Original Blend Earl Grey tea following a consumer backlash about the new flavour. It will now sell both the original and new Ear Grey teas via its online tea shop, at supermarket process.

A spokeswoman for the brand declined to give any further comment on the Twinings gets you back to you activity.
