Man U fans poke fun at City and Tevez
Manchester United fans have launched a campaign mocking local rivals Manchester City and their controversial striker Carlos Tevez.
Digital billboards will run in Manchester tonight (30 September) with the greeting “Welcome to Carlos, Manchester”. Fans’ pressure group MUST developed the campaign.
The posters ape the “Welcome to Manchester” ads City ran when Tevez signed from United in 2009. City fans claim that they are the only true Manchester club.
Tevez has been vilified this week for allegedly refusing to come on as a substitute in the club’s defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday (26 September). He has since been suspended for two weeks
