ArgosCompare rewards switches with gift cards to differentiate

Argos is hoping to encourage consumers to use its comparison site ArgosCompare.co.uk by offering gift cards as a reward to consumers that use the site to switch services.

The comparison site says that instead of investing in TV advertising, it is rewarding customers that use its services with Argos gift cards, in a bid to differentiate itself from rivals such as Comparethemarket.com and Gocompare.co.uk.

ArgosCompare offers energy, car and home insurance comparison services and will give customers that “search, switch and save” via the website additional money savings through rewards.

It will give customers that switch to an alternative insurance product £30 in Argos vouchers. Customers that switch energy providers will receive £20 and those changing home insurance cover through the site will get £10.

ArgosCompare is also offering new customers that opt for Barclaycard’s Platinum credit card through the site a £20 voucher.

Customers can also use ArgosCompare to check the best deals on a range of financial products including mortgages, credit cards, banking and legal services and insurance products including health, life and travel cover.

It claims that customers can save as much as £220 on dual fuel bills and £145 on car insurance by using its services to switch.

Rival comparison site Kelkoo recently relaunched in a bid to offer consumers more added value services than its rivals and be “more than a price comparison site”.
