The “12 Days of gifting” will offer items such as free mince pies with certain purchases, half price offers on merchandise such as mugs and coffee beans and free trials of its Via instant coffee.

The promotion starts tomorrow (1 December) and runs for 12 days. It is being promoted on Facebook and will be supported in store.

Brian Waring, VP of marketing and category for Starbucks in the UK says: “It’s about surprise and delight and enhancing the experience during Christmas shopping.”

As part of its Christmas campaign Starbucks introduced festive drinks varieties such as eggnogg and gingerbread lattes. It also introduces festive red cups every year to celebrate Christmas and this year launched an online game to give one city in the UK the chance to get the seasonal cups early.
