Ricky Gervais to star in anti-animal testing campaign
Ricky Gervais will star in an online campaign against testing cosmetics on animals for charity group Cruelty Free International.

The not-for-profit organistion has been set up by animal protection group BUAV to lobby against the testing of cosmetic products on animals.
It aims to work with governments, regulators, and corporate organisations around the world with a co-ordinated global campaign bolstered with national activity.
As brand ambassador for the campaign, Gervais, who had a stand up show called Animals, calls for a worldwide ban on “cruel and unnecessary” testing.
The organisation aims to push brands to use “superior non-animal methods, which are scientifically more valid and relevant to humans”.
