Dickinson leaves Virgin Atlantic after 10 years and most recently has held the position of sales and marketing director.

He oversaw the development of the TV and cinema branding campaign celebrating the airline’s 25th anniversary in 2009 and its follow up campaign in 2010.

Virgin Atlantic says that it is reviewing the sales and marketing director role. A spokesperson says: “Paul has been instrumental in driving revenues, improving customer service and building the brand reputation and has made a fantastic contribution to the airline.”

He leaves the airline at the end of February.

Dickinson’s position at Christie’s will be to work with new customer and client groups that are beginning to emerge from the BRIC territories and elsewhere.

Christie’s has 53 offices in 32 countries and 10 sales rooms around the world including in London, New York, Paris, Geneva, Milan, Amsterdam, Dubai and Hong Kong.
