She will be responsible for developing the marketing and brand strategy for Costa Express, the recently launched self-service coffee business as well as new and existing brand partnerships.

Costa split its business into four divisions in December in a bid to fuel its growth both in the UK and overseas. As part of the restructure, former marketing director Jim Slater was promoted to lead the Costa Enterprises division, which includes Costa Express and other Costa branded outlets located in universities and hospitals.

Harris will report directly to Slater, managing director. He says: “Caroline was a pivotal member of my marketing team [at Costa Coffee group]. Her sharp strategic skills will be an important addition to our board of directors.”
