Tourism Ireland unveils global ad campaign for 2012

Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new integrated campaign, ‘Jump into Ireland’, in a bid to raise the profile of the island overseas over the next three years.

The new campaign spans TV, radio, press, cinema and online advertising and will include ramped up social media activity as the body looks to make the channel a more integral part of its marketing.

Mark Henry, director of central marketing at Tourism Ireland says: “Tourism Ireland is rolling out an extensive marketing programme to capitalise on the strong interest in Ireland in all our markets.”

It will launch today on TV channels in Great Britain before rolling out in key markets such as the US, Spain and Italy later this month.

The campaign was developed by advertising agency Publicis London and will feature songs from the latest album by the Irish band, Snow Patrol.

Tourism Ireland’s chief executive Nial Gibbons said the company is targeting further growth over the next 12 months and its goal is drive over 9 million visitors to Ireland by 2015, exceeding the record year for tourism of 2007.
