Senior Lloyds marketer Clift leaves
One of Lloyds Banking Group’s most senior marketers, Joe Clift, has left the company after almost three years.
Clift joined the financial services company just after its creation following the merger of Lloyds TSB and HBOS amid the 2008 financial crisis.
He was appointed as brand and customer marketing director by then group marketing director Nigel Gilbert in March 2009 and is said to have led efforts to consolidate marketing structures and agency relationships across the group’s Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
Lloyds changed its marketing structure last year creating a central brand and marketing unit under the stewardship of head of marketing Catherine Kehoe.
It is not thought Clift, a former head of brand management at Visa and marketing director at WorldCom, has a job to go to.
