The train operator, which is owned by BAA, says the investment will improve customer satisfaction and “raise the bar in service, comfort and innovation”.
An advertising campaign, due to launch this spring, aims to increase Heathrow Express’s presence around the airport and reach more consumers.
The company has also overhauled its digital presence with a new website and mobile app due to launch later this year. Ticket offices in Paddington and Heathrow airport will be renovated with new signage and the modernised corporate branding.
New trains will launch on April 26th, followed by new uniforms for all staff in June.
Heathrow Express managing director Keith Greenfield says: “As London takes centre stage in 2012 we are proud to be the front door to the city and will be ready to host our spectators, supporters and the word’s media on Heathrow Express.”
