The electronics brand, which tasked agency BETC to handle the global creative, will launch a one-minute video on YouTube on April 25, showing the entertainment experience behind its new set of smart TVs. CHI will launch a TV ad explaining how Samsung Smart TV works.

The online clip, which will feature a selection of famous people and was filmed in Buenos Aires, could be transferred onto TV, according to BETC chief executive Matthew Charlton.

He says: “We have been briefed to create big film content for them…focusing on engaging with the experience [of Samsung TVs]. It’s very entertaining and very epic. It can also run in long-form on TV.”

In February Samsung tied up with Marks & Spencer to allow the retailer to launch a branded-content app on Samsung Smart TV.

The Samsung TV app, developed by Adjust Your Set, includes branded M&S video content ranging from advice, trends, how-to tools and buying guides across its food, non-food and fashion.
