The car marque launched the “You Like it, We Make it” campaign last month, inviting Facebook users to choose design elements that it would put into production for a limited edition Ci Connexion model.
Fans chose a 3-door version finished in Caldera Black with Scarlett Red exterior and interior detailing and alloy wheels.
It is now asking fans to design the ‘Connexion’ brand logo that will appear on the rear of the car when it is made.
More than 24,000 designs were submitted and more than 10,000 fans entered the competition to win one of the first C1 Connexion production models.
Citroen added 13,500 Facebook Fans over the course of the campaign and now counts 93,000.
Melina Kacherou-Carage, head of digital marketing at Citroen UK, says: “This project has really captured the enthusiasm of the Facebook community. We’ve had thousands of configurations, so much positive feedback and now the first images of C1 Connexion, which will be ready to go on sale later in the year. You liked it, now we’re making it.”
