The light hearted ad is Barclaycard’s first return to TV since its well-known “Waterslide” and “Rollercoaster” campaigns. It was created by BBH and directed by Becky Martin, producer of Channel 4 comedy Peep Show.

Barclaycard announced the launch of PayTag in April this year. It is designed to stick to the back of any mobile phone and can be used by Barclaycard customers to make small purchases at any retailer with contactless terminals.

An experiential event in London promoted through a partnership with Capital Radio is set to be announced in the coming days as part of the launch campaign.

Other activity includes a YouTube video starring David Hasselhoff and the first use of Google+ Hangout by a financial services brand. Dare provided the digital support.
