EHarmony UK boss takes top global marketing job

EHarmony has elevated the role of UK country manager Ottokar Rosenberger to look after international marketing for the online dating site.

Rosenberger will now lead the marketing and commercial strategies across all eHarmony’s international businesses outside the US, which includes EMEA, Australia and Brazil.

He replaces Sean Cornwell, who left the company to “explore other opportunities”.

Rosenberger is also covering the vice president of US acquisition role on an interim basis.

As a result of Rosenberger’s promotion, Bryn Snelson, currently UK marketing director, will become country manager for the region.

Rosenberger has led eHarmony’s UK operations since 2010, shortly after the site launched in the territory in 2010. He was responsible for all aspects of the UK business including marketing, communications, product localisation, pricing and customer care.

Prior to joining eHarmony, Rosenberger held senior commercial and brand roles at Rated People, BT and Procter & Gamble.

Last month eHarmony’s founder and chairman Dr Neil Clark Warren relinquished the role of CEO from former Zynga executive Jeremy Verba. An internal company memo was reported to have said this was due to their visions of the future of the business not being “entirely aligned”.
