Nuts moves into holiday market

Lads’ magazine Nuts has announced it is to start selling branded package holidays after seeing its circulation dip by over 20% in the latest official figures – the largest fall in a lacklustre sector.

NutsTravel

Nuts Great Escapes, which will be run in partnership with The Stag Company, is designed to offer lad package breaks ‘to the masses’ usually reserved for grooms-to-be and their mates.

The ‘fun and adrenaline-fuelled’ holidays will be promoted via the magazine and a microsite which launches tomorrow. Destinations will include popular resorts at home and abroad.

Themed packages will also be launched based on activities including dodge ball, casino entry, football tickets, boat parties, and VIP night club experiences.

The move is the latest attempt at brand expansion by Nuts publisher IPC. Nuts TV was taken off air after only two years in 2009.

The title re-launched a year ago with a print, outdoor and online ads positioning it as the title of choice for unde-pressure young men looking for humour and a laugh in a bid to arrest declining sales.
