New categories for Data Strategy Awards 2013

There are a number of exciting new categories for the Data Strategy Awards 2013 well worth investigating.

Data Strategy

The prestigious awards for the data community take place on February 7 next year and will recognise the achievements of those who have helped create fantastic and successful marketing campaigns and innovations.

The new categories further help acknowledge the essential contribution of data professionals to marketing success.

They include Best Innovation in Data Marketing, an award devised to highlight a successful campaign, strategy or project that showed innovation new to the entrant or the industry as a whole; Best Use of Big Data, created to showcase how an organisation has used large and complex data sets to achieve its aims and Data Professional of the Year, to be voted for by Marketing Week readers.

Alongside these are the highly covetable awards based on sector and discipline. These have been overhauled and this year sees categories for Entertainment and Gaming and Best Use of Loyalty Marketing introduced, while Public Sector is now contained within the Not For Profit Award.

Finally, there is the Grand Prix, chosen from the winners of these categories. Last year it was carried off by Thomson for its holiday seeker conversion programme.

The entry deadline for the Data Strategy Awards 2013 is October 9 and you can find further details of the categories and the evening event here.
