Venner will oversee marketing, design, research and insight, digital and sponsorship strategies worldwide. She will also be tasked to find common metrics and benchmarks for analysing the effectiveness of its marketing activity.
A spokeswoman for Hiscox says: “Our direct-to-consumer business is growing across the UK, US and France andthe objective of the role will be to further drive effectiveness of marketing activities across the group….”
The firm is currently recruiting for a UK director of marketing, the spokeswoman adds.
Venner led UK marketing for just short of two years. She joined Hiscox in 2009 as marketing manager from Coca-Cola where she managed the soft drink giant’s My Coke rewards programme.
Hiscox launched an ad campaign in May positioning itself as an “honest and fair” companion to consumers in “uncertain economic times”.
