Marriott International creates new partnerships role.

The company has recruited MEC Access business director Stuart Wareman to take the role.

He is familiar with Marriott International as a client and has worked on several of the chain’s partnerships. He will now work alongside the marketing team and report to Osama Hirzalla, vice president of brand marketing and eCommerce for Europe.

Wareman’s duties will include managing and maximising Marriott’s existing partnership relations in Europe, which include airlines, credit cards and car hire companies. These were previously handled by various members of the marketing team.

He will also be supporting Marriott brand marketing in activating existing brand partnerships, including the Rugby Football Union in England and German Golf Association in Germany. A key part of his role will be to identify new partnership opportunities across Europe.

Before MEC, Wareman worked in a range of PR and marketing roles at agencies.
