The academy is opening nominations for its flagship scholarship programme for 2013. This will be the fourth year of recruitment for the programme, which offers 30 free scholarships.
Successful candidates who make it through a demanding application process will then benefit from access to senior marketers and CMOs, entrepreneurs, life coaches and other specialists as part of a year long programme. This includes “boot camps”, group and individual sessions, lectures and more.
The academy is supported by several relevant organisations, including O2 and Marketing Week, and is bringing new sponsors on board for 2013, such as British Gas.
New mentors are also joining the 2013 programme, including John Lewis marketing director Craig Inglis, Boots marketing director Elizabeth Fagan, Tom Fox, chief commercial officer at Arsenal Football Club and global marketing director at Paddy Power Christian Woolfenden.
Potential candidates for a Marketing Academy scholarship must be nominated and the deadline is 25 February. More information can be found here.
2012 scholar and senior brand manager at Lloyds Banking Group Jennifer Walker says: “Whether it is in boot camps, lunch and learns or mentoring sessions you find the best from the marketing industry putting their experiences in front of you, sharing their triumphs and failures and motivating you with ideas on how you can become a better marketing leader.”
The Marketing Academy is run by non profit organisation the Marketing Hall of Legends, established by Sherilyn Shackle.
