The event, Tiger Tracks, which runs throughout March in London’s St Pancras station, is the start of a five year marketing and fundraising strategy to reverse the declining number of wild tigers in the world.

There are just 3,500 wild tigers in the world compared with 150,000 in 1900, according to Simon Clinton, founder of Save Wild Tigers.

Tiger Tracks will include live music, education and cultural events throughout the month to raise awareness and inspire support for the cause. The charity has also signed Magic Fm as a sponsor of the event.

Retailers situated within St Pancras station are also offering themed discounts, product ranges and promotions to support the event.

The month long event in London is designed to kick start a host of worldwide events to raise funds and awareness. It is hoped that the London event will become annual and lead to other events around the UK.

Save Wild Tigers is also working with governments and NGOs in 14 countries in an effort to double the number of tigers within 10 years, as the animals face extinction.
