Martin Riley: my last 24 hours

We have been preparing for a meeting which brings together our top 25 senior marketers from our brand companies, regions and most important markets such as China, the US, France, India and Spain. It is a great cross-section of our decentralised structure.

We meet twice a year to exchange ideas and initiatives that are going on across the group, as well as outlining key plans and the direction we want to take Pernod Ricard in the future. We like to keep it a balance of inspiration, exchange and working together.

I was invited to see the premiere of Zero Dark Thirty in the evening, the new Kathryn Bigelow movie about the capture of Osama bin Laden, which is absolutely incredible. There was a dinner afterwards with a lot of people from the French media, which was also very interesting.
