Mentos creates ‘news report’ based on users’ Facebook profiles

Mentos has created a Facebook app that creates a bespoke video news report based on users’ social networking profiles as part of its “Stay Fresh” marketing activity.

The app pulls in data about a users’ relationship status, location, friends and pages they are fans of to create the satirical bulletin.

The “Fresh News” app forms part of Mentos wider “Stay Fresh” activity, which launched in March with a TV and print campaign created by ad agency BBH.

Users can access the app via the dedicated www.mentosfreshnews.com website or on the Facebook Apps page.
