The 30-second sport is set to the Brooklyn rapper’s “PSA” track and features him alongside a host of creators and artists from around the world. It uses the strapline “It begins and ends with what you make” and will run in the UK until 1st September.

The advert will be supported by a follow-up advert featuring singer Rihanna that will feature her single with Jay-Z “Right Now”.

The campaign aims to broaden the appeal of the beer to most casual drinkers as owner AB InBev looks to turn its flagship beer into a global brand on the scale of Coca-Cola.

Jennifer Anton, marketing manager for Budweiser in the UK, says: “Music is an important part of UK culture, something that everyone enjoys and anticipates. The launch of the Jay-Z TVC is just the start of our plans to bring more music experiences to the UK as part of the Made for Music campaign.”

Outdoor, print, on-pack and online ads will support the push alongside sponsorships of Rihanna’s and Jay-Z’s concerts later this year. Additionally, the brewer will post behind-the-scenes content from the making of its TV ads on its YouTube channel, while partnering with Facebook and Vice to create exclusive content for fans.
