Greaves says: “It’s an exciting time to lead our bright and ambitious team at the society. In my new role, I’m going to be focused on driving our growth, especially internationally and building initiatives and partnerships to offer more value for our members. When I joined the society seven years ago, it was to develop the membership, and that remains my core focus – every decision I make is about helping our members become bolder marketing leaders.”

Chairman of the society Stephen Maher says: “‘We are so delighted that Gemma has accepted the position of MD at The Marketing Society. She has been instrumental in creating what the Society is today – the UK’s leading network of the marketers. So it is only fitting that she should help lead us to the next exciting stage in our development.”

Greaves reports to chief executive of the society Hugh Burkitt. She has worked in marketing-connected roles at companies and organisations including The Foreign Office, IBM, in business publishing and the membership department of the Design Business Association.

The Marketing Society has more than 2600 members.
