AEG Europe’s top marketer Kimberly Kriss has left the 02 Arena owner after almost two years.

It is understood Kriss, a former Marketing Week cover star, has left to start up her own business.

She joined AEG in May 2012 as senior vice president for marketing from Interbrand. Prior to joining the branding consultancy she ran her own brand strategy and marketing consultancy Kriss Group.

At AEG, Kriss focussed on building the company’s data and insight capabilities to better understand the audiences and visitors to its venues, which also include Wembley Arena and Hammersmith Apollo.

It is thought AEG will not replace Kriss with her responsibilities distributed to the senior marketing team.
