Nectar’s marketing director James Frost has left.

A Nectar spokesperson tells Marketing Week that Frost left at the end of last week and it is yet to replace him. Managing director Will Shuckburgh is currently looking after the marketing department until a new director is hired.

Frost joined Nectar in January 2010 to lead all marketing and communication activities for the loyalty scheme. In that time he helped expand the Nectar programme through deals with organisations including Oxfam and Yell.com, as well as launching marketing campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the scheme and its features.

Prior to working at Nectar he was at Unilever, holding roles including European brand director for Persil and its sister brands, and innovations director for the laundry portfolio. At WorldPay he will be responsible for all areas of marketing for its UK division, including customer acquisition, communications, PR and proposition development.

Nectar says: “During James’ time at Nectar, we have seen the programme grow by over 3 million customers to 19 million and customer satisfaction is at an all-time high. We wish James all the best in his future endeavours.

“At Nectar, as we move into 2014 we are in a great position to embark on the next chapter of the programme with exciting customer-centric and digital developments and innovations in the pipeline.”
