Holiday rental company HouseTrip is preparing for growth.

The company recently recruited Al-Qassab, a former Procter & Gamble marketer, to take the newly created role and help develop its proposition.

He has tasked advertising agency McGarry Bowen to help develop “a robust positioning plan” and marketing collateral.

At P&G, Al-Qassab held several positions including managing director, P&G Beauty for UK & Ireland. He was seconded to the charity initiative Movember last year to help with media and marketing strategy and execution.

HouseTrip allows holidaymakers to find apartments and offers homeowners a platform to list their properties. It operates internationally, including within the UK, and its listings include both beach and city centre properties. An average of 3,000 new listings is added each week

Al-Qassab says: “HouseTrip offers an incredible opportunity because the company is operating in a market where there still isn’t a hugely branded proposition.

HouseTrip was founded in 2009 by CEO Arnaud Bertrand and chief financial officer Junjen Chen and launched in 2010.
