The water brand is hoping to top previous rollerskating and dancing baby virals with a pint-sized version of the comic book hero. The ad follows Spider-Man as he challenges a baby-reflection of himself to a dance-off. Both shuffle through a repertoire of moves including the moonwalk and the Robot to a remix of “Here Comes the Hotstepper” by French music producer Yuksek.
Evian is asking fans to share the BETC-created advert with the #evianSpiderMan hashtag. Outdoor ads will support the video, which is part of a wider marketing drive to promote the release of the Spider-Man movie next month (2 May).
It follows Evian’s lauded “Dancing Babies” advert last year. The spot topped YouTube’s most popular adverts of 2013 with over 135 million views.
