Britvic’s CEO Simon Litherland appointed as ISBA’s president

Britvic’s CEO, Simon Litherland has been appointed as the new president of ISBA, the self-proclaimed voice of British advertisers.

Litherland will replace Jon Woods, the general manager of Coca-Cola in the UK and Ireland, immediately.

The new president will chair the ISBA Council, the governing body of ISBA for the next three years. He plans to outline the focus for the body’s activities in the year ahead at the ISBA annual conference on 11 March.

Litherland says: “This election year doubtless holds a few surprises and I look forward to working with the ISBA team to ensure that the interests of advertisers are safeguarded.”

Prior to his appointment, Litherland has been performing the role of CEO at Britvic since February 2013 and is responsible for the delivery of the company’s business strategy. He joined the company in 2011 as managing director.

ISBA’s priorities for 2015 include tackling online ad fraud, transparency across campaigns with a particular focus on digital and supporting responsible advertising.
