The coffee chain will first launch the Evenings Programme at its newly renovated Stansted Airport store, with plans to then expand the programme across its estate.

In the US, the successful Starbucks Evenings programme has already been rolled out to 30 locations. The UK format will provide an expanded menu, also including chorizo and prawn skewers with chilli ketchup and premium beers, from 4pm.

Ian Cranna, vice president of marketing and category for Starbucks EMEA, says the programme will provide more choice and increase footfall in the evenings.

“Providing a welcoming coffeehouse environment has always been our focus and now we can offer something new for the evening too,” said Cranna.

Starbucks Evenings won’t just feature premium wines, beers and meals, but desserts too, which will be paired with Starbucks’ staple range of drinks.
