O2 offers everyone a chance to experience what life is like with its Priority loyalty scheme

O2 is looking to give everyone, not just its own customers, the chance to experience the benefits of its Priority loyalty scheme with a major push for its latest #waggytails campaign.

The activity saw O2 deliver thousands of free items including cookies, cinema tickets and ice creams to people who tweeted #waggytails to O2’s Twitter account. People that tweeted those gifts also then got the opportunity to win further prizes including VIP tickets to gigs.

The mobile operator enlisted the help of Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing to help deliver the gifts. He could also be seen creating special pizzas to be delivered to some of the lucky winners.

The push is part of O2’s latest #waggytails campaign, which marketing and consumer director Nina Bibby says is aimed at promoting happiness. A TV spot , created by VCCP, features people on a busy street in Waterloo in London enjoying the benefits of Priority, with customers wagging dog tails to show their appreciation for the perks.

Bibby says: “With our latest ad campaign for O2 Priority we created a very clear symbol of happiness, by giving people waggy tails. Now, by delivering treats to everyone, not just our customers, we’re hoping to get everyone’s tails wagging.

Brands including Boots, Odeon, Zizzi and Millie’s Cookies are all part of the Priority loyalty scheme, offering deals on lunch or free coffee. Further treats available this week to O2 customers include free Prosecco at Café Nero or popcorn at Odeon.
