Astronaut Chris Hadfield to headline Festival of Marketing

Chris Hadfield, former commander of the International Space Station, has been announced as one of the headline speakers at this year’s Festival of Marketing.

Chris Hadfield

Hadfield will join the event, backed by Marketing Week and Econsultancy, to discuss what his career as an astronaut taught him about overcoming challenges and excelling under pressure – skills that every marketer is all too familiar with.

Hadfield, who has a Twitter following of more than 1.4 million, will also provide his insights on human ingenuity, which come from his near-death experiences with system failure.

The Festival of Marketing will take place on 11 and 12 November at Tobacco Dock in East London. Hadfield joins a list of more than 200 speakers across 12 stages with more set still to be announced.
