Tesco Christmas ads focus on service by promoting ‘little helps’

Instead of releasing one main Christmas ad, Tesco is bringing out multiple TV ads that highlight how the retailer will aim to make the busy festive period easier for shoppers.

Inspired by its motto ‘Every little helps’, Tesco’s integrated festive campaign will include several TV ads that illustrate the ‘little helps’ on offer to customers in Tesco stores throughout the Christmas season.

The ads feature actress Ruth Jones of TV series Gavin and Stacey, who starred in the supermarket’s most recent campaign.

The first two ads will hit TV screens this evening (9 November) and focus on the festive food on offer at Tesco this Christmas.

Later iterations in the campaign will feature Tesco’s new party food range, which the supermarket says is designed to help hosts spend more time with their guests, as well as an ad highlighting Tesco’s in-store employees who will be helping customers with their Christmas shopping throughout the festive season.

Tesco is also unveiling a number of festive-themed ‘little helps’ for customers in store in the run-up to the big day. Last week, the retailer advertised a position for the first ever ‘Christmas tree light untangler’ to help relieve some of the stress associated with the Christmas season.

Tesco brand director Michelle McEttrick says: “Christmas is a special time of year for many of our customers, so we’ll be making sure we do all we can to help them spend more time with friends and family over the festive season.”
