Marketing Week will be supporting the ‘Realising your potential’ stage at the Festival of Marketing, which takes place on 5 and 6 October at Tobacco Dock.

Running over the two days, the stage will focus on the big issues of personal and professional development. Marketing Week editor Russell Parsons is chairing the stage, which will host a range of sessions from panel discussions to masterclasses.

Highlights include a discussion on gender stereotyping with speakers including Aline Santos, executive vice-president of global marketing at Unilever and Karen Fraser the director of Credos at the Advertising Association.

Sherilyn Shackell, the founder and CEO of The Marketing Academy, will be hosting a masterclass on mentoring while Helen Tupper the head of marketing at Virgin Red and Sarah Ellis, head of marketing strategy at Sainsbury’s, will be talking about confidence.

Parsons says: “Marketing Week is proud to be associated with the ‘Realising your potential’ stage at the Festival of Marketing this year. Personal and professional development are critical to marketers and will be a key focus for Marketing Week content going forward.

“We also want to tackle some of the big issues in marketing, such as gender stereotyping, and showcase startup success stories including Propercorn and footwear brand Gandy’s. We hope you’ll join us at Tobacco Dock.”

‘Realising your potential’ is just one of the 12 stages at the Festival of Marketing this year as we bring together more than 200 speakers to showcase the best of the marketing world.
